Mid Lane Tier List For LoL Patch 13.18: These Are The Best Mid Laners
Now, let’s examine our top five choices for the mid lane!
5. Pantheon
Simple but effective!
Pantheon is currently an excellent choice for the mid lane due to his straightforward yet powerful and impactful gameplay. He has shown consistent performance, fluctuating in and out of the S-tier category in recent patches, and is making a strong comeback once again.
This wannabe backer is a great choice for several reasons. One of the key factors is his exceptional speed and ease in roaming across the map. His ultimate allows him to apply pressure to all three lanes without being physically present, as he can quickly join fights within seconds.
In addition to that, Pantheon offers a range of different builds, allowing you to customize your items according to your team’s requirements, whether you prefer a lethality or bruiser approach. If you’re seeking a straightforward champion to master, why not give Pantheon a shot?
4. Cassiopeia
The perception of beauty varies from person to person – and gazing at Cassiopeia for an extended period can be quite hazardous! However, this danger primarily applies to your adversaries, as you will now be mastering her skills.
Cassiopeia can be considered a relatively secure choice for the mid lane. With her ability, Miasma, she gains significant protection against agile opponents, effectively hindering the opposing team’s attempts to initiate fights or escape. While her performance during the early laning phase may not be outstanding, her scaling allows her to become a dependable source of damage during the later stages of the game.
3. Orianna
I’m thrilled to see one of my top choices making a comeback in the mid lane meta! She possesses the exceptional ability to provide support to her team while inflicting massive damage, particularly during the late game. This makes her an outstanding pick at the moment.
(Isn’t she adorable? …)
If you enjoy farming, scaling, and providing support for your team, Orianna may be the ideal choice for you at the moment! She is incredibly safe in the mid lane due to her kit, which includes both a shield and a speed boost. These abilities prove highly advantageous in situations where you are at risk of being ganked!
Can Orianna handle this champion?
I must confess, Orianna can be quite challenging to learn initially due to the need to constantly consider her ball companion, especially when positioning during teamfights. Nevertheless, once you master this aspect, nothing will prevent you from dominating late-game battles with a single well-executed ultimate!
2. Akshan
If you’re a fan of stealthy and sneaky champions, Akshan is the ultimate shutdown collector you can dream of! Give this shurimian rogue a chance and experience perfection.
Akshan is undeniably an extraordinary champion and a recent addition to the roster. His unique capability to enter stealth mode grants him the power to catch enemies off guard, interrupt their return to base, and pilfer buffs and jungle camps from any location on the map.

Playing his laning phase is incredibly straightforward, as he combines the traits of an ADC and an assassin. Particularly against melee opponents, his abilities truly showcase their potential! Additionally, his stealth capability grants him the freedom to effortlessly traverse the map and provide assistance to other lanes without the enemy even realizing you’ve vanished.
1. Ahri
Once again, Ahri, the enchanting Vesani, claims the top spot as our first choice.
Ahri’s kit is incredibly powerful! She has consistently been our top choice and excels with her exceptional mobility, crowd control, and impressive damage. Fortunately, she is relatively easy to learn, so after reading this, you should definitely consider giving her a try in your upcoming game!
Mid Lane Tier List: These Are The Best Mid Laners In LoL Patch 13.18
After examining the S-Tier champions in LoL Patch 13.18, it’s time to explore the status of your other beloved champions. Which of these picks do you primarily play?
Who Are Our A-Tier Mid Laners?
The A-Tier remains highly commendable. These champions can be effortlessly chosen and can lead to victories. They are the ideal options when the S-Tier champions are unavailable due to bans. If your goal is to ascend in solo queue, then it would be wise to consider picking up some of these champions in the current patch.
Champion | Win Rate | Pick Rate |
Neeko | 51.88% | 2.27% |
Kennen | 52.92% | 0.80% |
Sylas | 50.36% | 8.16% |
Lux | 50.57% | 3.60% |
Vex | 51.03% | 5.62% |
Akali | 49.73% | 7.05% |
Swain | 51.17% | 1.17% |
Kassadin | 49.75% | 4.50% |
Anivia | 50.72% | 2.25% |
Naafiri | 52.39% | 1.82% |
Xerath | 50.56% | 6.82% |
As previously mentioned, Kassadin is poised to make a triumphant return in the current patch. With significant buffs to his ultimate scaling, he is undoubtedly set to become the late game powerhouse of patch 13.18.
If you’re interested in learning a new champion that is also simple, consider giving Vex a try! Her play style is incredibly enjoyable, and once she completes her second item, her ability to eliminate opponents in a single strike grows significantly.
Who Are Our B-Tier Mid Laners?
The B-Tier comprises champions that possess decent proficiency, yet lack the same level of power as those in the A or S Tier. It is evident that these picks can be chosen for particular matchups, but we recommend ensuring mastery over the champion before making a selection.
Champion | Win Rate | Pick Rate |
Diana | 51.51% | 1.90% |
Aurelion Sol | 50.48% | 2.70% |
Irelia | 49.03% | 4.18% |
Fizz | 50.25% | 4.74% |
Katarina | 49.09% | 5.58% |
Lissandra | 49.96% | 4.23% |
Syndra | 49.55% | 6.68% |
Talon | 51.09% | 4.14% |
Yasuo | 49.58% | 8.13% |
Zed | 49.97% | 11.35% |
In this iteration, we have a selection of reliable champions in the B-tier range! Notably, champions with advanced abilities like Zed and Yasuo are included here. If you’re interested in mastering a new champion that demands a good level of skill and game understanding, one of these champs could become your next primary choice.
Who Are Our F-Tier Mid Laners?
We strongly recommend disregarding these picks in the current patch. Their win rates are extremely low or they have been significantly weakened in the recent update. Therefore, it is highly advisable to refrain from selecting these champions under any circumstances… unless you prioritize playing your main champion over your LP.
Champion | Win Rate | Pick Rate |
Corki | 47.68% | 1.04% |
Ryze | 46.52% | 1.08% |
Lucian | 48.56% | 0.98% |
Indeed, it is true that Faker opted for Corki during the LCK. However, this does not necessarily imply his exceptional prowess. In fact, it is quite the opposite.
If you value your hard-earned LP, avoid selecting any of these three champions.
Currently, the mid lane is flooded with numerous powerful champions, offering a wide range of play styles that perfectly align with the current meta. Additionally, there are even some versatile picks like Kennen that occasionally prove to be viable. It is important to remain cautious of the additional minion in your waves when facing Neeko!
