In the 2023 CDL Season, twelve teams will compete in five Majors and one Championship final to determine the CDL Champions. The top 48 players from around the world will battle it out for this prestigious title. Prior to each Major, teams will face off against each other over three weekends to secure their spot in the LAN events. Throughout the year, teams will accumulate points in the overall standings, with the top eight teams qualifying for the Championship LAN event at the end of the season. The team that emerges victorious in the Championship will be crowned the Champions, marking the start of the next Season and pursuit of the next title.

What Are The Current Competitive Rules?

The competitive settings for 2023 have been finalized, and we can now confirm the list of banned items/elements.

• Banning LMGs, Battle Rifles, Marksman Rifles, Shotguns, and Riot Shields is enforced.
• The use of all launchers is prohibited.
• Banning is enforced on all attachments including silencers, lasers, and armor piercing.
• Only the Cruise Missile, Precision Airstrike, and S.A.E. are permitted for killstreaks.
• With the exception of Stuns, Smokes, Frag Grenades, Semtex, Dead Silence, and Trophy Systems, the use of most Lethals, Tacticals, and Field Upgrades is prohibited.
• The only permitted Base perks are Battle Hardened, Double Time, and Bomb Squad.
• The use of any Ultimate perks is strictly prohibited.

Although it may appear overly restrictive, eliminating one-shot weapons and any elements that provide free information or easy kills significantly enhances the competitive nature of Call of Duty. Additionally, a few minor adjustments have been made to game modes, such as increasing the defuse time to 7.5 seconds in SnD.
