What is LoL Clash?

Clash is an intense tournament where 8 teams battle it out in 3 rounds on Summoner’s Rift. Each team is made up of 5 players who face off against other teams with players of similar Elo. To ensure fair matchups, the tournament groups are divided into tiers 1-4.

Looking to enhance your Clash team experience? Equip yourself with the perfect headset and unlock your full potential during the tournament.

In order to take part in Clash, you are required to:

  • Be level 30.
  • I have finished all my Ranked placement matches in Summoners’ Rift.
  • To participate in Clash, your “League” account must be verified through SMS.
  • Get your clash ticket now! You can choose between a standard ticket priced at 975 BE or 195 RP, or a premium ticket available for 975 RP.

Once you have completed these tasks, you will have the opportunity to establish your own Clash team or receive an invitation to join one. The teams are then classified into different levels based on their average rating, with class 1 representing the highest and class 4 representing the lowest.

How Long is a Clash Tournament?

In a clash tournament, a minimum of 3 games is always played. Regardless of the outcome of the first game, participants are always moved to either a higher or lower bracket. The sole distinction lies in the rewards, with the “Winner Bracket” offering better incentives compared to the “Losers Bracket”.

What is Sudden Death in Clash?

Many players may be unaware, but Clash in fact incorporates a sudden death feature to prevent excessively lengthy games. If a clash match extends beyond 60 minutes, towers will gradually become more vulnerable, and at the 65-minute mark, they will even inflict damage upon themselves. But how does this affect your Clash game? Essentially, by the 70th minute, the game concludes as this mechanic progresses from the towers to the inhibitors, and ultimately, to the Nexus.

Witness as this unfortunate event unfolds for reddit user u/heids_25 during their clash game. It’s truly disheartening. This prompts the question: Is the sudden death rule necessary in League of Legends Clash?
