Resolving the VAN-81 Error Code

Perform a Full Restart of the Game, Vanguard, and Launcher

To troubleshoot any error code, the initial action is to perform a basic game restart. In over 60% of instances, a restart successfully resolves the problem. If a regular restart proves ineffective, it might be necessary to terminate specific processes and then relaunch the game.

To do this:

To access the “Processes” tab, you can open the Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE. Once opened, please navigate to the processes section and look for any processes associated with Riot. To terminate a task, simply right-click on a process and select the “End Task” option. Repeat this step for all Riot processes. Once done, manually relaunch the game.

Restart Riot Vanguard
