Final Fantasy 16 PC Version: Release Date Expectation

After being exclusively bound to Sony for 6 months, Final Fantasy 16’s partnership is gradually approaching its end. Yoshi-P shares insights on the current status of the PC port and the team’s progress.

The PC version of the game is not yet on par with the PlayStation 5 version, particularly in terms of seamless transitions between locations and cutscenes. Due to the team’s focus on optimizing the PS5 version, they haven’t had sufficient time to enhance the PC version. More details about the PC version will be shared at an appropriate time. Although there is no confirmed release date, Final Fantasy 16 is anticipated to be available at the earliest in the first half of 2024, considering the development of two significant story DLCs.

However, we hope that we won’t have to endure a wait of more than a year for the PC version, as was the unfortunate situation with the Final Fantasy 7 remake.
