MW2 & Warzone Season 6: Content

Although we haven’t established a conventional roadmap at the moment, we do have an official blog post regarding Season 6.

New Weapons

In Season 6, we can anticipate the arrival of four brand-new weapons. As per tradition, two of these weapons will be obtainable right from the start through the Battle Pass. The inclusion of four weapons in a single season may seem substantial, but it aligns with the precedent set by Call of Duty in recent years.

Weapon Release Class
TR-76 Geist Launch Assault Rifle
ISO 9mm Launch SMG
Dual Kamas Launch Melee
DOOM Chainsaw Mid-Season Melee

The final weapons of the cycle have a minimal chance of being considered meta-worthy. The developers aim to shift your attention towards MW3 rather than MW2.

New Maps

Due to the inclusion of Al Bagra Fortress as a separate map in Season 5: Reloaded, there won’t be a fresh Warzone map in Season 6. Nonetheless, players can anticipate the arrival of new multiplayer maps.

Per tradition, we can anticipate the release of four fresh MW2 multiplayer maps, consisting of two larger 6v6 core maps and two smaller Gunfight maps.

  • La Casa (6v6, upon release)
  • Koro Village will be a 6v6 game mode available right from the start.
  • King (Gunfight, at launch)
  • Fight (Gunfight, at launch)

In addition to that, Halloween will bring us two map reskins. El Asilo and Embassy will undergo a transformation during the mid-Season update, aligning them with the spooky Halloween ambiance.

New Modes

The upcoming Halloween event, known as The Haunting, is set to return with its usual flair. Just like in the past three years, Zombies will once again infest every map, accompanied by a handful of alterations to various game modes.

Warzone

  • Operation Nightmare (Al Mazrah) aims to conduct a thorough investigation into anomalies while ensuring the elimination of the designated “Most Wanted” Target. Additionally, any other hostile individuals encountered will be neutralized as part of the mission.
  • Vondead (Vondel): A sorceress’s demonic incantation has caused a widespread zombie outbreak.
  • Zombie Royale (Al Mazrah/Vondel) is similar to Battle Royale, but with the thrilling twist of zombies and the unique opportunity to respawn as one.
  • Vondead Lockdown (Vondel): experiencing a foreboding moonlit night, a unique version of Vondel during the nighttime.

DMZ

  • The absence of a collapsing gas circle makes it ideal for gathering intelligence, locating, and ultimately eliminating otherworldly monstrous beings.

MW2

  • Scarecrow’s Haunting Domination serves as a flag marker.
  • Skull Collecting in Haunting Kill Confirmed/Grind
  • Spooky Drop Zone Experience: Crate Surprises Await
  • When players become infected, they will transform into Zombies inspired by the haunting theme, swarming towards other infected individuals.

Although entirely expected, it is still pretty awesome.

New Operators

In Season 6, the artwork has already unveiled two fresh Operators for this season, namely Al Simmons and his alter ego, the heroic Spawn. These extraordinary characters will be featured as the Battle Pass skins, attainable at level 0 and level 100.

In Season 6, a plethora of Operator skins with a spooky Halloween theme will be available for players to enjoy.

  • Spawn’s charred appearance, also known as Burned Spawn, is a result of the transformation undergone by Al Simmons.
  • Creepy Clown (Fender Skin)
  • Violator (König Skin)
  • Disruptor (Horangi Skin)
  • Soul Crusher (Vega Skin)
  • Nikto Spawn (Nikto Skin)
  • The characters Inarius and Lilith are introduced in Diablo 4.
  • Skeletor (villain of He-Man)
  • The protagonist of Evil Dead is Ash Williams.
  • Alucard (Dracula from Hellsing)
  • Gaia (Nova Skin)

MW2 & Warzone Season 6: Battle Pass

As is the tradition in Call of Duty, a fresh Battle Pass will be introduced in Season 6.

You can opt for the premium version priced at 1100 CP, approximately $10. Alternatively, there is the BlackCell Battle Pass Bundle available for $30, which not only includes additional rewards but also grants you 20 Battle Pass Tokens instantly (25 for PS-users).

Cross-progression is available, allowing you to advance your Battle Pass in both Warzone 2/DMZ and Modern Warfare 2. Additionally, once it is released in 2023, it is highly probable that you will be able to continue progressing your Battle Pass in that game as well.

At present, this is the extent of our knowledge regarding the upcoming season of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. However, be sure to revisit this article in the coming days, as we will continually provide all the essential information you require.
