Fortnite Trios Are Back, But Not As We Expected

The deactivation of the Trios Mode by Epic Games, following the introduction of the Ranked System in Fortnite, was met with significant outrage. Although the mode has been reinstated, it regrettably did not meet the expectations of players.

The introduction of the new Ranked System in Fortnite has recently taken place, intended to replace the previous Arena Mode. Regrettably, Epic Games simultaneously decided to eliminate the Trios mode without providing any explanation, a move that was widely disapproved by the fanbase.

However, it seems that the public’s outcry has had an impact, as Fortnite has recently announced on its official Twitter account that Trios mode has returned to the game. However, it may not be in the exact way we had hoped for.

Fortnite Trios only available for Unranked games

Fortnite surprisingly unveiled on Twitter that Trios Mode has made a comeback, exclusively for the Unranked variations of Battle Royale and Zero Build.

Trios has made its return to Battle Royale and Zero Build modes, now available for non-ranked gameplay.

On May 31, 2023, Fortnite tweeted: “@FortniteGame”

The reason behind disabling the mode initially was unknown, but some speculated that removing Trios was a strategy to redirect players towards other modes and enhance queue wait times.

Although players are grateful to have the opportunity to play Trios once more, there is confusion as to why this mode is not included in the Ranked system. Epic has not indicated any plans to alter this, leaving us with only optimism for potential changes.

Previously separated trios can now reunite and enjoy playing Fortnite together once more, even if it’s limited to Unranked matches.
