The launch of Call of Duty Vanguard’s Zombies mode wasn’t flawless, but with every new season, the game has been delivering improved Zombies maps. This article provides a brief overview of the latest map and offers insights into what to expect from the upcoming release.

New Vanguard Zombie Maps: The Archon

Following Shi No Numa, the upcoming round-based zombies map for Vanguard in Season 5, titled The Archon, will mark the conclusion of the Vanguard Zombies story, as confirmed by the developers. We will revisit Egypt and ultimately confront Kortifex himself within the Dark Aether. What Are The Next Maps Coming To Vanguard?

Given that Vanguard Season 5 is the final season preceding the launch of Modern Warfare II, it is unlikely that there will be additional zombies maps after The Archon. However, it is possible that the Zombies mode will receive occasional smaller updates, similar to the ongoing updates in Black Ops Cold War.

How Do Vanguard Zombie Maps Work?

Vanguard Zombies consists of two distinct types of maps: the original expansive hub maps and the more recent round-based maps.

The hub maps act as central locations where matches begin and where you can enhance your weapons and abilities. Each wave, you venture through a series of portals from the hub map to smaller maps, where you fulfill various objectives. These smaller maps often contain sections from familiar older or multiplayer maps. Once the objective is achieved, you return to the hub map. In summary, there is a primary hub map connected to multiple smaller maps through portals, creating a dynamic gameplay experience.

Nevertheless, due to overwhelming demand from fans, Treyarch heeded the call and brought back a classic round-based zombies map in Vanguard Season 4 with the inclusion of Shi No Numa. These round-based maps follow the familiar formula where players gradually unlock new areas by opening doors. Naturally, players can expect the return of the beloved wall-buys and all the other elements that have become synonymous with the Zombies experience.

Does Vanguard Zombies Have A Ray Gun?

The Ray Gun, the ultimate Zombies killing weapon, made its return in the Season 2 map of Zombies called Terra Maledicta. This powerful weapon has been a staple since the early days of CoD: World at War when the zombie mode was initially hidden as a secret add-on accessible after finishing the campaign and watching through the credits. It’s incredible to see how significant and integral the mode has become in the game.

Unfortunately, the release of the Infinity Ward game in 2022 does not include a Zombie mode. However, there will be a mode similar to it.
