Are you an Infinity Ward fan or a Treyarch kind of guy? Based on your answer to that question we can probably already tell what kind of CoD player you are (and no, we don’t believe anyone is genuinely a Sledgehammer fan).

Now, the Infinity Ward fans have been eating real good over the last couple of years, because with MW2 and they effectively had two IW games in a row. But, in 2024 it will be time for Treyarch to take the reins again with Black Ops Gulf War / BO5 (the name is yet to be confirmed).

So, if you like Black Ops games with their traditionally higher TTK and more vibrant art style, keep reading. In this article you can find all the latest news and leaks regarding CoD 2024. We scrape Reddit, Twitter and Telegram every day for new info, so you can be sure these are the most current leaks.

CoD 2024 Release Date

We don’t have an official release date for CoD 2024 yet, but Activision have been following the exact same schedule for so many years that it’s almost certainly going to look something like this:

• May 31 – June 7, 2024: Black Ops Gulf War Alpha (exclusively for content creators & CDL pros)
• October 4 – October 7, 2024: Black Ops Gulf War Beta Weekend 1 (PS4/PS5)
• October 11 – October 14, 2024: Black Ops Gulf War Beta Weekend 2 (All Platforms)
• November 1, 2024: Black Ops Gulf War Campaign Early Access
• November 8, 2024: Black Ops Gulf War Full Release

We will update these dates if necessary when Activision give us further details.

CoD 2024 Theme & Setting

As you might have already guessed, Call of Duty 2024 will be set during the Gulf War. If you’re unfamiliar with the Gulf War, we’re talking about Kuwait in 1990-1991.

Dozens of leakers have revealed this setting, and it was always somewhat predictable after BOCW. Here is how our favorite leaker shared the news:

Ralph isn’t the most active leaker, but what he does say is almost always correct. Plus, we’ve heard about the Gulf War setting from many, many other sources at this point, so we firmly believe it.

In terms of art style we don’t have any specific leaks, although we think you should expect it to be similar to BOCW; still maintaining the vibrancy that we’ve come to expect from Treyarch, but not to the almost cartoony extent of say Black Ops 3.

CoD 2024 Gameplay

Before we talk about gameplay leaks we want to be very clear: None of the leakers with serious credibility have spoken about gameplay, and so we would classify the following info as merely “rumor”. But if you are still curious, they’ve basically been describing it like a slow BOCW: high-TTK and sliding/dolphin-diving, but very little Tac Sprint,

It’s a boots-on-the-ground CoD from Treyarch. If you’ve been around the franchise for long enough, you can probably image how it plays. But we’ll keep updating this page with leaks if new gameplay details emerge.

CoD 2024 Platforms

The Activision-Microsoft deal might be finalized by release, but even if it is, . We also know that Nintendo consoles are simply . We can therefore assume that Call of Duty 2024 will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S & PC.

There is a small chance that the game is released on the old-gen consoles as well, although the last time Call of Duty was being released cross-gen that only lasted for 3 years (Ghosts, AW, BO3), and so we expect the last cross-gen title of this generation to be MW3, not CoD 2024.
