All Moth Mirror Puzzles

Library Annex

  • Library

The Moth Mirror can be found on the second floor of Hogwarts Castle, discreetly hidden behind a set of bookcases.

 

The flying magical insect, known as Moth, can often be spotted perched on a podium located near the staircases.

  • Potions Classroom

To locate the Mirror, start by entering the door and descending the staircase on your left. Proceed to open the door adjacent to the Daedalian Cabinet. Finally, in the hallway adorned with various paintings, you will discover the Mirror towards the end.

Moth: When you find the Mirror, simply gaze ahead, and you’ll spot the fluttering Moth gracefully hovering above a troll statue.

Astronomy Wing

  • Astronomy Tower

Please ascend the stairs until you arrive at a fireplace.

Moth: Continue ascending towards the pinnacle of the tower, where a captivating sight awaits you – it hovers gracefully in front of a blackboard, adjacent to a telescope.

  • Tower of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

As soon as you enter the game, you’ll notice the Mirror positioned right in front of the Floo Flame.

Moth: Ascend to the next floor and you will find it located right next to Professor Fig’s Classroom.

  • Transfiguration Classroom

When you reach the fireplace, climb the steps until the Moth Mirror comes into view.

Keep going up the tower until you reach the top. Once there, you’ll spot the Moth by a blackboard and a telescope.

  • Transfiguraton Courtyard

The Mirror can be found in a small hallway with green gas. To reach it, simply enter the door and ascend the staircase on your right.

To your left, beyond this hallway, lies the Moth hovering before a majestic painting of centaurs. Keep in mind that in order to enter the next room where the Moth awaits, you must employ the Alohomora spell.

Bell Tower Wing

  • Hogwarts North Exit

The Mirror is located in the shed near the Floo Flame.

To locate the Moth, proceed to the farthest end of the area, situated on the left side of the ramparts.

Great Hall

  • Great Hall

The mirror is located on the left wall after leaving the room and taking a left turn.

The Moth can typically be spotted lurking behind the podium where the teachers usually position themselves.

  • Viaduct Courtyard

The Mirror is located in the outer section of the plaza, offering a view of the lake.

The Moth can be found at the far end of the corridor on the right-hand side, once you have ascended the stairs.

South Wing

  • The Floo Flame is located in the Clock Tower Courtyard.

When you enter the area, you’ll find the Mirror situated close to the Floo Flame. To spot it easily, proceed towards the door on your right, which has a level 1 lock. The Mirror can be found in close proximity to this door.

When you reach the courtyard, search for a flying moth located in the back-right corner.

  • Argyllshire Map’s Clock Tower Courtyard

Upon entering the courtyard, simply turn back and proceed through the door adjacent to the Floo Flame. Make your way towards the opposite wing where a map showcasing Argyllshire awaits. Positioned above it lies a button that you can activate using the Depulso spell.

Moth: Once the button is pressed, head to the right of the Argyllshire map and locate the moth within the girls’ bathroom.

 

Grand Staircase

  • Lower Grand Staircase/Slytherin Dungeon

To find the mirror, simply turn right after the Floo Flame and continue along the winding corridor until you reach the very end. When you spot a suit of armor, the mirror will be located on its right side.

To find the moth, continue moving towards the right in the dungeon area until you come across it perched on a wall.

  • Ravenclaw Tower

To find the mirror, take a left turn from the Floo Flame and make your way down the marble spiral staircase until you reach the bottom.

To find the moth, head back to the top of the staircase and search for it in the vicinity of several paintings.

  • Trophy Room

To locate the mirror, proceed to the end of the corridor and ascend the steps and staircase. Eventually, you will reach a narrow hallway adorned with a Phoenix gargoyle that serves as an entrance to the Headmaster’s Office. The mirror can be found within this hallway.

In order to locate the moth, simply descend the spiral staircase and direct your gaze towards the ceiling as you approach the corridor adorned with mahogany panelings.

Hogsmeade

  • Hog’s Head
Mirror: You can find this Hogwarts Legacy Moth Mirror next to a Hogsmeade Eye Chest, beside the Hog’s Head Inn.
Moth: Look for the moth on a stack of boxes located outside the Hog’s Head, a short distance away from the Broom Shop.
  • Near the Broom Shop
Mirror: To find this mirror, use the South Hogsmeade Floo Flame and head towards the back of the house to your right as soon as you spawn in.
Moth: From the mirror’s location, turn around and look at the grassy area behind the shops. The moth can be found next to a Hogsmeade Eye Chest.
  • The Old Fool
Mirror: This Hogwarts Legacy Mirror can be found inside the Old Fool, which is an abandoned building located north of the cemetery.
Moth: Check the wooden crates at the back of the Old Fool to find the moth.
  • Water Mill
Mirror: This mirror is located inside the water mill, which can be found in the eastern portion of Hogsmeade.
Moth: Look for the moth on top of a lamppost across the pathway leading back to town.
  • Dogweed and Deathcap
