Call of Duty: Mobile Ranks Explained

CoD: Mobile features distinct ranked leaderboards for both the standard multiplayer and battle royale game modes.

While it may seem confusing at first, it is actually quite logical. Certain players have a preference for one mode over the other, and it is clear that these two game modes result in different outcomes when it comes to strategy and play style.

Luckily, the naming convention for ranks in CoD: Mobile remains consistent in both game modes. Additionally, once players achieve the prestigious ranks of Grand Master and beyond, a leveling system is implemented. This guarantees that highly skilled players are not limited to lower ranks in game modes they participate in less often.

These seven ranks are:

  • Rookie I-V*
  • Veteran I-V*
  • Elite I-V*
  • Pro I-V*
  • Master
  • Grandmaster
  • Legendary

In order to move up to the next rank, players must navigate through all five tiers within the initial four ranks.

The ranking system follows a simple point-based mechanism, requiring players to gather a certain number of points in order to progress in rank. Upon reaching the Legendary rank, the point system remains intact, but a new feature is introduced: a leaderboard showcasing the top 5000 players.

The points earned or deducted in the game are determined by the performance, taking into account various factors like wins, losses, kills, and other contributing elements.

The distribution of points differs based on your rank, the game mode (standard MP or battle royale), and various other factors. Now, let’s explore the details further.

Rules For Ranked Mode

There are distinct regulations for the standard multiplayer and battle royale game modes.

  • Have you already got your hands on a copy of Diablo IV? It’s an incredible game!

Standard Multiplayer

Game Modes:

  • Team Deathmatch
  • Domination
  • Hardpoint
  • Search & Destroy
  • Search & Destroy Payout (Limited to Season 4)

As rookies embark on their journey, they start by participating in Team Deathmatch and unlock more game modes as they climb the ranks. With each progression, they get to explore different maps selected at random for each mode.

Scoring:

  • The calculation of your overall score depends on various factors, including your performance in matches (number of kills, etc.), the outcome of matches (wins or losses), and the length of your winning streaks. Additionally, you can earn extra points by participating in multiple game modes and by receiving daily first-win and clan bonuses.
  • Progress cannot be lost by players below the Elite I rank.
  • If you leave a match, you will be temporarily banned and have points deducted.

Team-Up Rules:

  • In team Ranked matches, players with a rank from Rookie to Pro are allowed to have a maximum gap of two adjacent ranks. On the contrary, players ranked MASTER or above are only permitted to have a maximum gap of one rank beside theirs.
  • Furthermore, only 4 out of 5 squad parties can participate in Ranked matches exclusively against other 4 out of 5 squad parties.

Battle Royale

Scoring:

  • Factors such as kills, survival duration, and your current rank determine the points you earn in the game. You can also earn additional bonuses by selecting multiple game modes through the multi-select bonus and by receiving daily/clan bonuses.
  • Progress is safeguarded for players ranked lower than Elite I.
  • Points will be given to you based on your performance up until that point if you decide to exit the match.

How Long Does The Ranked Series Last?

Certain players may find this confusing. It is crucial to understand that the ranked series in CoD: Mobile is different from the game’s seasonal content. Usually, CoD: Mobile seasons last for about 4-6 weeks, while ranked series extend over a period of 14 weeks.

Rank resets happen only at the end of a ranked series, not during the transition between seasons. As players progress through the season and achieve different ranks, they receive the corresponding rewards gradually, ensuring that they receive the appropriate rewards each time they move up in rank.

The scheduled end date for the ongoing Ranked Series 5 is January 19th.

How Does The Rank Reset Work In CoD: Mobile?

Once the 14-week ranked period concludes, players will experience a rank reset. The extent of their rank drop will be based on their final rank achieved during the ranked series, aiming to facilitate a smoother transition for players.

Previous rank Your rank at the beginning of the next ranked series
Legendary/Grandmaster/Master Pro I
Pro V Veteran V
Pro III-IV Veteran IV
Pro I-II Veteran III
Elite IV-V Veteran II
Elite II-III Veteran I

Instead of having to wait until the ranked series ends, players can now receive rewards each time they reach their corresponding rank.

After reaching a specific rank, you will uncover the rewards that await you in the in-game mailbox. It is crucial to collect these rewards prior to the conclusion of the season.

How To Rank Up In CoD: Mobile (Fast)

If your goal is to quickly rise in the ranks of COD: Mobile, there are multiple methods at your disposal, which include earning bonuses for fulfilling certain conditions.

An advantageous feature is the multi-select bonus, offering you extra XP for opting for multiple game modes in the standard multiplayer mode. By choosing more game modes, you will earn a higher bonus XP.

Don’t forget to check the requirements for activating the daily first win bonus, as it changes every day. This is another advantage worth considering.

Make sure to join a clan before embarking on your ranked journey, as it can also grant you a clan bonus.

When you first start your ranked journey, you might come across relatively simple matches, giving the impression that reaching Grand Master will be a breeze. However, as you advance to the Elite and Pro ranks, the games will become noticeably tougher. This is when having a ranked shield card can be advantageous.

You can avoid any deductions and still earn ranked XP by using ranked shield cards. However, since these cards are limited, it is crucial to use them wisely. Their maximum effectiveness is seen when you are close to reaching a new rank, providing an additional chance to progress.
