Bloodborne On PC: Screenshots Reveal Working Build

Many people have a strong desire for a PC port of Bloodborne, as it was regarded as one of the top Souls-like games available on the PS4. Excitement was reignited when an insider disclosed the presence of a functional PC version.

Of course, the anticipation for a PC version of Bloodborne is shared by everyone. Undoubtedly, it is recognized as one of the greatest games ever made, but unfortunately, its performance on the PS4 was subpar. Despite numerous years passing and countless rumors circulating, the longing for its release on PC remains unfulfilled.

However, there is still some hope remaining. Lance McDonald, an insider, has recently sparked optimism for a PC version of Bloodborne through a series of posts, providing evidence that such a version does indeed exist.

Bloodborne PC Version Spotted By Insider

On Twitter, McDonald made a statement asserting that he had come across a complete retail edition of Bloodborne being played on a PC. His observation stemmed from the realization that certain screenshots on the Bloodborne wiki, uploaded by Marcos Domenech, an environment artist at FromSoftware, originated from a Windows version of the game.

On May 21, 2023, Lance McDonald, also known as @manfightdragon on Twitter, posted a tweet.

Previously, McDonald asserted that they had witnessed a PC edition of Bloodborne in its developmental phase. However, these fresh revelations strongly indicate the existence of a PC iteration for the complete and commercially available version of Bloodborne, encompassing the DLC expansion “The Old Hunters.”

Does this imply that a Bloodborne PC port is imminent? Not necessarily. While it’s true that most games, even console exclusives like Bloodborne, are developed on PC these days, these pictures are outdated and do not provide definitive proof of the game’s release on PC.

Bloodborne PC Port Probably Not Planned After All

In September 2022, Jeff Grubb, a well-known leaker and reporter, made an appearance on the Xbox Expansion Pass podcast. During the discussion, Grubb touched on various topics, including Bloodborne. He mentioned that FromSoftware is currently occupied with other projects, making it unlikely for them to develop a new version of Bloodborne.

The Grubbman reinforced another rumor we heard about the game: the original code of Bloodborne is too challenging for a different developer, such as Bluepoint, to handle without FromSoftware’s assistance. It’s disappointing that this could mean no PC version of Bloodborne due to the focus on Elden Ring. It’s definitely a letdown.

Some time ago, an individual going by the name “Omnipotent” shared their thoughts on forums such as ResetEra or Reddit regarding a potential PC version of Bloodborne. Trust me when I say, this person is truly remarkable. They have established themselves as the most trustworthy source for leaks related to anything developed by FromSoftware.

Everything was leaked, absolutely everything, including details about a game that the developers hadn’t even announced yet. Because of that, we have placed our trust in them when they speak. That’s why this situation is even more painful to bear.

FromSoftware has been declared to not be involved in any projects related to Bloodborne, thus ruling out any possibility of a remaster or a PC version. This is an accurate representation of their statement.

Although I may not possess comprehensive knowledge on every subject, and my expertise varies across different areas, I have yet to come across any information regarding any developments related to Bloodborne. This includes a potential sequel, remaster, PC port, or even a patch. I have not heard any mention or news about these matters whatsoever.

There you have it, folks… Currently, it appears that Bloodborne for PC is not even being considered by FromSoftware. However, it’s important to note that Omnipotent can only provide information about FromSoftware’s internal affairs, so there is still hope among fans for a possible remake or remaster by a studio such as Bluepoint, similar to what they did for.

Moreover, it should be noted that the absence of ongoing PC port developments does not necessarily imply the absence of future prospects. However, I must admit that the idea of Bloodborne being released on PC seems highly unlikely at present. It is disheartening, but I will find solace in playing the game for now, as that is the most we can hope for.
