In Zelda: TotK, the expansive landscapes and towering mountains of Hyrule bear grand artistic impressions known as Geoglyphs. These awe-inspiring creations, reminiscent of the renowned Nazca Lines in Peru, are etched into the earth, captivatingly visible even from the heavens above.

In the game Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players are encouraged to spot the Geoglyphs while skydiving and navigate towards them. Nevertheless, having knowledge about the Geoglyphs’ whereabouts and the location of the Dragon Tears within them can prove to be advantageous.

Starting the Geoglyphs Quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

At the beginning of the game, players have the opportunity to undertake several quests in the early stages at Lookout Landing, the initial town they encounter after completing the tutorial. Among these quests, there is a significant one known as “Impa and the Geoglyphs,” which is classified as a ‘Main Quest.’ This particular quest unfolds in the vicinity of the New Serenne Stable, located to the west and slightly north of Lookout Landing.

Impa takes on the role of a guide in this mission, shedding light on the Geoglyphs and their hidden mysteries. She leads players towards their initial Dragon’s Tear memory. To activate a memory, one must locate a completed tear within the Geoglyph and engage with it.

After unlocking this memory, players have the freedom to explore the remaining 10 memories in any sequence they desire. The revelation of all the memories uncovers thrilling secrets within the Tears of the Kingdom storyline.

The 12 discoverable Geoglyphs in Tears of the Kingdom are listed below, organized according to the chronological order of the memories. While you have the freedom to activate them in any sequence you prefer, we suggest following the chronology for a coherent storytelling experience.

Geoglyph #1

The first tear can be found near New Serenne Stable and southwest of Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower, both of which are located at the top of the Geoglyph in North Hyrule Plain.

Geoglyph #2

To discover the subsequent Geoglyph, head eastward from Rito Village in South-Western Hebra. It is positioned a bit northwest of the initial Geoglyph you encountered, situated exactly at its center.

Geoglyph #3

The third tear can be found in Eastern Hyrule Field, slightly south of Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. It is situated over the river and to the north of Lanayru Wetlands. You will spot it right in the middle-center of the Geoglyph, which bears a resemblance to either a Purah Pad or a Nintendo Switch if you observe closely.

You can find the fourth Geoglyph by heading southeast of Hyrule Field, crossing the river near Riverside Stable and Tajikats Shrine, and reaching the Central Hyrule side of the mountains that separate it from Neclunda. The tear is located at the top-left corner (north-west) of the Geoglyph.

Geoglyph #5

You can locate the fifth tear in the South-West region of the map, just above the Gerudo desert. The memory can be found in the upper center of the Geoglyph.

Geoglyph #6

The sixth Geoglyph is positioned on the Illumeni Plateau, a minor mountain located in the central western part of the map, between Gerudo Highlands and Hyrule Ridge. The tear is located halfway on the right or eastern side of the Geoglyph.

Geoglyph #7

The seventh Geoglyph can be found at the farthest point in the South-East of Hyrule, situated on the curved peninsula to the east of Lurelin Village. The precise spot of the Geoglyph is located on the eastern side (right-hand side) of the blade’s guard.

Geoglyph #8

The eighth one can be found in the farthest North of Hyrule, situated on the Tabantha Tundra region, towards the northeast of the Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower. The Tear is located in the middle-western side of the Geoglyph.

Geoglyph #9

The ninth Geoglyph is located in the middle of the map, towards the far-Eastern edge. It is situated on the landmass northeast of Mount Lanayru and its Skyview Tower, or southeast of Zora’s Domain. The tear is positioned roughly one-third of the way up the Geoglyph, towards its eastern side.

Geoglyph #10

The tenth Geoglyph is located near Lake Hylia, specifically on the mountainside of Mount Faloraa in southern Hyrule. To reach it, the best approach would be from the west, slightly south of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. It is advisable not to attempt crossing the bridge, especially if you are not well-equipped, as there is a boss in the middle that will attack and probably defeat you. The Tear can be discovered at the Geoglyph’s central western area.

Situated directly above the Great Hyrule Forest and west of Death Mountain’s peak, the eleventh tear can be found. It is located almost beneath the Eastern Shadow of the Thyphlo Ruins Skyfall Tower. Furthermore, the tear is positioned exactly at the blade’s point.

The Final Memory

In your game map, you can easily locate the last Dragon’s Tear as it stands out from the rest. It is situated in a unique area, characterized by a swirling shape, near the eastern border of the Akkala region. Specifically, you’ll find it to the east of Tarrey Town and the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower.
