Epic Games has made a sudden announcement, stating that the Arena mode in Fortnite will no longer be available and will be substituted by a new ranked game mode. The introduction of the ranked system will coincide with the release of Fortnite v24.40 on May 17, and it will be applicable to Fortnite Battle Royale and Zero Build. The Fortnite Ranked System

The Ranked system in Fortnite commences with Season Zero. Throughout Chapter 4 Season 3, players have the opportunity to showcase their abilities in Ranked matches and progress through 7 ranks starting from Bronze. Upon achieving the ultimate rank, known as Unreal, players will be provided with a numerical representation denoting their global standing among other Unreal players.

All Fortnite Ranks: From Bronze to Unreal

There are various ranks available in Fortnite.

• Bronze (I, II, III)
• Silver (I, II, III)

Each of the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond tiers will be further split into three ranks. On the other hand, the Elite, Champion, and Unreal tiers will each have only one rank.

How To Level Up in the Fortnite Ranked System

Your progress in Fortnite Ranked is determined by both your placement in the match and the number of eliminations you or your team have secured. Eliminations made in the later stages of the match hold greater value compared to those made at the beginning, emphasizing the importance of focusing on the late game. Additionally, the ranks of the players you or your team eliminate also play a role in determining your ranking.

Teams are regarded as a single entity, meaning that every team member will experience the same progress gain or loss based on eliminations and team rank. It is important to note that a team’s rank is determined by the highest-ranked player in the team. For instance, if a team comprises players with Gold I and Silver I ranks, the team will be matched with players of similar ranks using the Gold I rank as the benchmark.

In order to check your progress, make sure to toggle the “Ranked” setting to “On” in the lobby. Once done, your current rank will be displayed on the left side of the screen.

During Season Zero, you will be awarded the “Burn Bright” emote as your prize. This emote will showcase the color corresponding to your present rank once activated.
